*The Omni Cruise Universal Motorcycle Cruise Control / Throttle Lock is designed to fit any motorcycle or scooter but there will be exceptions with ANY "Universal" product. The Omni-Cruise requires a minimum of 3 1/4" of clearance from the grip to any objects that may interfere with its operation including hand guards and low mirrors in front of the grip. Many times these interfering objects can be adjusted, but not always. Please measure if there is a risk of interference.

KNOWN INTERFERANCE/CONFLICT ISSUES:

  • V STROM WITH STOCK GUARDS. I do have an adapter that I make that moves the hand guards out just enough to let the Omni work and it has received great reviews both on my site and on stromtroopers.com. YOU MUST REQUEST IT IN THE COMMENT FIELD AFTER ADDING TO YOUR CART>
  • DRIVEN D3 ALUMINUM type grips. (The aluminum tube is free floating on the rubber so clamping onto it doesn't guarantee it will hold well as they are prone to rotating around the rubber)
  • Some year Heritage Softtail, FatBob and possibly a few others have less than 3-1/4" clearance on the mirror. Usually the mirror can be adjusted so it can clear but though I have never seen it I have had a few shorter riders mention they were not able to safely adjust it. It's rare but worth looking at if you have the super short teardrop mirrors that are less than 3" from the grip. I have made a few risers to move the mirrors and will make it an available part if I get a few requests.

LIKE ANY CRUISE CONTROL, THROTTLE LOCK, OR THROTTLE ASSIST it is designed to ease tension on the riders wrist, and not to enable single handed operation of a cycle. Your right hand is your gateway to speed control and removing your hand completely increases your response time in the event of any unforeseen event (like a rogue suicidal squirrel). Simply put, keeping your hand on the grip increases your chances of living through a bad situation no matter what throttle assist best fits your needs.

IF RIDE A BIKE, A MUST HAVE GEAR.

  3. Very useful option to add to your bike. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Jul 2016

I did some research for products of this nature.
I have a more simple version of a similar product which also worked well.
But I wanted something that was more durable.
This item is very easy and simple to install. Mere minutes.
It works great once you have made the required adjustments.
Allows me to give my right hand a bit of a rest by not having to keep a firm grip on the throttle.
Detailed instructions are very accurate. Follow them and you can't go wrong.
As is suggested and which I also agree to, this is not to be used to ride with no hands.
That is just not a wise idea.
I highly recommend this item. I liked it so much that I actually purchased a second one for my son. He also thinks it is great.
    Good job people, great product.Thanks

  4. Works! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Jun 2016

I used on a 400km trip on my FZ6R and it worked perfectly! After the initial adaptation time (about 5-10min) it became natural to use, as my bike had always had it. I highly recommend it for those who hit the road on medium to long trips.

  5. Perfect for my Vespa 5 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Jun 2016

This has been great for long highway stretches in little-to-no traffic. Let's you take your hand off the throttle to scratch an itch or stretch out your right on arm on long journeys. I love how easy it is to take off when just commuting around town because it kinda gets in the way when you don't need it.

  6. Awesome product 5 Star Review

I have had this on my bike for 2 years now.
Use it all the time, simple to use and Install.
Just purchased a second one for my wife's bike.
Could not be happier with the quality.

  7. Works Great! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Mar 2016

I just installed my Omni Cruise which took maybe a minute. Took the bike for a ride and after a couple turns on the adjustment screw, it works perfectly! I ride a sport bike, so it's really nice to give my throttle hand a break every now and then.

I got what I was expecting it works as intended and as it was presented. No complaint whatsoever. Thumbs up :) Drive safe

  9. Excellent Design 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Nov 2015

As an introduction - A throttle lock is not a cruise control. But during long rides most bikers are just looking for some relief for the throttle fatigue. This Omni works great for that. The elasticity of a rubber grip makes adjustment of the Omni-cruise vague but that will vary with each bike. After using the Omni for several months I don't want to do any distance on a freeway without it.
I am very impressed with the quality of the unit. You won't find a better product out there!

  10. There when needed. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Nov 2015

I don't use my Omni-Cruise often, but it's a wrist/hand saver when I do get a chance to use it.

I've found that the thumb screw doesn't like to stay tight, so a dab of non-permanent lock-tite on the threads is enough to keep it from working itself loose.
